The Marketplace is now your one-stop-juice-shop.

Over the last year, we’ve brought on several new team members to do treasure hunting for each of the categories of the Marketplace. Cintli, a Mexico native with over ten years of experience in the food industry, joined us to hunt for drinks. Her first task: make the Marketplace a one-stop-shop for juice. Fresh, local, responsible juice or as close as humanly possible, that’s affordable and accessible for Lufavores. She spent the last few months on this, and we’re happy to announce we officially have some awesome juice from some awesome makers.

The fresh-squeezed juice. Fatima’s Kitchen is pressing it fresh every morning for the day’s baskets, right in the same building as us. They use mostly surplus seasonal veggies from our sustainable partner farms (no waste!) to make grapefruit, orange, carrot, beet, apple, and pear juice (and more are coming).

The cold-pressed juice. Gen and Raphaël of Montreal’s DOSE are purveyors of pure organic cold-pressed juice. Their juices are high pressure pasteurized, meaning thousands of pounds of pressure are used in place of traditional heat-pasteurizing to ensure their juices keep. Not using heat means the taste and nutrients remain intact. (Sneak peek: Get their Cactus juice as your gift on orders $60+ next week!)

The orchard-to-bottle juice. Warner’s Farm has acres upon acres of orchards in the Niagara region and juices their extras of the season into a great naturally sweet Apple & Pear mix. It’s been a Lufavore favourite since 2015. Next season, keep an eye out for their grape juice, made from all their extra sweet grapes.

The pure berry juice. Fruit d’Or makes juices from Quebec berries, not from concentrate and entirely organic. They have cranberry, cherry, and blueberry juice on their own and as blends. Framboisiers Lepage is doing something similar, with smaller sizes of organic blueberry-raspberry and raspberry-cassis juice made with fruit from their farm in Sainte-Anne-Des-Monts.

The everyday juice. We all need the staple juices to go with breakfast or for the kids’ lunchboxes. That’s where some of our newer arrivals come in. Vergers Paul Jodoin’s Tradition juices (sparkling or not) might look familiar, and they’re great. Made in Quebec, they have classic juices like orange and apple, as well as pear and apple-cherry. Happy Planet is the one departure from local - though they’re not made in Quebec, they’re an all-Canadian company that produces its certified organic juices like açaï berry, pomegranate, mango, strawberry/banana, and orange juice, in Burnaby BC and Ontario.

We feel like this makes for a pretty killer juice array on the Marketplace and hope you do too. Keep the feedback coming in the product reviews for these juices. Your comments and requests help us make sure the Marketplace has what you want and need. And we would love more suggestions, so please let Cintli and the team know by sending a note to They’ll happily read each and every one!
